Imperative

  - The imperative is very simple: Just use the verb as normal, and keep the noun in the same spot as before:

    - Dɔ̀n! : Dance!

    - À mǐn! : Drink it!

  - To make an imperative negative, use kana .

    - I kana à mǐn. : Don't drink it.

  - If you drop the subject, it's implied you're talking to someone directly:

    - Kana sìgi. : Don't sit.

  - To multiple people, add ye in the positive, and just kana in the negative:

    - Á ye dɔ̀n! : Dance (, you all)!

    - Kana dɔ̀n! : Don't dance (, you all)!

  - To express "let's (not)" or "should (not)" either in an imperative mood or a general encouragement, use ka in the positive sense and kana in the negative:

    - An ka sìgi. : We should sit. / Let's sit.

    - À kana sìgi. : She better not sit. / She shouldn't sit.
