- For the positive case, add -ra/-ta/-na to the end of the verb, depending on the last consonant of the verb:
- (1) m, n, ɲ =› -na
- Á dɔ̀nna : You all danced./You all have danced.
- (2) r, l =› -la
- Á wulila : You all got up./You all have gotten up.
- (3) All others =› -ra
- Á sìgira : You all sat./You all have sat.
- For the negative case, it's just like in the past transitive negative: Use the auxillary ma and you're done.
- An ma kàlan. : We didn't read/study/learn./We haven't read/studied/learned.
- Cɛ̌ ninnu ma mǐn. : These teachers didn't drink./These teachers haven't drunk.
